Welcome to Ultraground - your lookout on the wall at your local zoning meeting.
Estimated read time: 2 minutes and 12 seconds
(Full meeting length: 1 hr and 13 minutes)
June 3rd Approvals:
36-Unit affordable housing
Buildings that contribute or don't

Avondale Affordable Housing
Avondale - approved
Kingsley and Company won the approval of a 36-unit affordable housing project in Avondale.
This is a rezoning, not a project approval. So concerns about egress and access will be addressed later.
Some affordable stats on the project:
4% bond deal
40-80% Area Median Income (AMI)

Contributing Buildings
Mount Lookout - approved
Mount Lookout now has new rules about whether a building adds or subtracts from the neighborhood.
Things like massing and other architectural features make it 'good' or 'bad'.
"Contributing" means it adds the character of the neighborhood. And "Noncontributing"...well, you get the gist.
Interestingly, if your building is deemed noncontributing, it is easier to redevelop.
Other neighborhoods will also get this distinction soon.

Thank you for being a part of Ultraground.
